Almost 12 years ago Nicolas and I made our Italian dream come true and moved from Belgium to the Italian countryside where we started a never ending renovation project and opened Agriturismo Verdita, self-catering apartments on a lavenderfarm.
We said goodbye to our jobs (Nicolas was a lawyer and I was a psychologist) and our safe existence in the city to become farmers on a hill in “the middle of nowhere” in a house that wasn’t really inhabitable at the time.
Of course it was a big gamble: we didn’t have a green thumb (lavenderplants on our terrace in Ghent never survived for long) and no renovation skills. But under the Italian sun everything would be different !
Unfortunately we lost our Indy in 2013 due to renal failure
